codexbar

i have too many ai subscriptions. claude, opencode go, windsurf, copilot, deepseek — the list keeps growing.

every provider has its own dashboard, its own limit, its own reset cycle. keeping track is a part-time job.

what it is

codexbar by peter steinberger is a tiny macos menu bar app that shows usage limits and reset countdowns for 40+ ai providers. all in one place.

the kicker: it doesn't make you log in anywhere. it reads from browser cookies, local config files, and known credential locations. no api keys to paste, no oauth dance.

"may your tokens never run out."

install it, grant keychain access once, and it sits in your menu bar showing a tiny usage meter. click it for a popover with provider tiles, usage bars, and how long until your limits reset.

supports codex, claude code, cursor, openai, gemini, copilot, grok, groq, elevenlabs, deepgram, openrouter, aws bedrock, and about 30 more.

it's open source (mit) and available via homebrew. no electron bloat. just a swift app that reads local data and shows it.
